Fine Arts Showcase
The Visual Arts division is dedicated to providing an outlet for local and regional artisans to showcase their talents. One of the ways is the Fine Arts Showcase is held in early April.
Every year a visiting guest judge is invited and prizes are awarded for categories in painting, photography, and 3-D works. All visitors are invited to vote for People's Choice!
The last several years we have hosted the show at the Best Western Parkside event facility in Olney.
Artists interested in displaying their work should submit the entry form posted here at the beginning of the year.

Congratulations to our 2025 show winners including People's Choice winner Rebecca McVaigh for her work titled Imperturablo.
The Olney Arts Council was pleased to welcome the Dr. Jean Miller Art Collection, a diverse and thoughtfully curated assembly of artwork donated by the late Dr. Jean Miller, a beloved local dermatologist and passionate art enthusiast.
The collection reflects Dr. Miller’s deep appreciation for artistic expression in all its forms. It features an eclectic mix of paintings in various mediums, photography, detailed drawings, 3D art pieces, and an elegant selection of china. While the majority of the works are by local and regional artists, the collection also includes a few select museum-quality prints.
To honor Dr. Miller’s legacy and share her love of the arts with the broader community, a public sale of the art collection was held in July 2025. There are some artworks still available for purchase. To access a spreadsheet containing all the artwork, click here.

Traveling Art Show
Another great way to share the arts with our community is the Traveling Art Show.
A collection of artists rotate their work, every two months or so, from one location to another. This allows local offices to have an ever changing art show and the participating artists are in front of many new faces throughout the year.
